- accepted for publication in multiple journals
- grad school prep beat the piss out of me and I was struggling to define my future
- the fucking Democratic Primaries
- trying to be positive :)

- abruptly left mid-term with my family on a road trip to visit my aunt in the hospital; car breaks down halfway there and me and my sister end up floating in a pool in a log cabin hotel wondering if we're going to be able to say goodbye
- my aunt passed and the entire family came together to morn her
- learning to surf for the first time on a multi-day yoga hike to try and keep it together
